Dog friendly flooring?

I have two great danes. Needless to say they destroy standard wood floors (Oak, Pine, Maple). When I put flooring in my current home I used Brazilian Walnut, and after 8 years the floors look amazing. They might need a new top coat, but no sanding or replacement is needed.

I am now about to get a small cabin in the mountains. The builder normally uses Pine, but my pups would destroy that in a few months. So I'm wondering what I should use instead. I would love to use Brazilian Walnut again, but can't justify the cost. Initially I was leaning towards stranded Bamboo, but I've read such horror stories about it; from the glues used in it's construction, to it's moisture content and massive acclimatization time and also how, while being very hard, does not do well if it gets wet IE not good for kitchens or other potentially wet areas.

What would you recommend for a dog friendly and moderately priced, $5/sq/ft is my top end. I'm open to various materials, but am leaning toward wood for resale.
