Step up from room to deck?

This is going to be so odd but my addition is 3 steps higher then the rest of my house and I can't decide if I should step UP to the adjoining deck from the existing room or step down to the deck from the addition (because the new deck is going to be for both). french doors are going to be at different heights. I also only have a small area to have the deck to begin with and the existing room with the lower door is tiny already and can't afford steps. What can I do if I have to keep the desk to approx 150sq feet. I can't find any photos of a deck that has steps down into a room it's odd....

Do you photos of the buildings/doors? The simple answer without seeing it is to make the exit you will use most often level.

OH YOU just saved me!! I don't now why i didn't this of that. the door that i will enter in and out for most often comes off the kitchen so I will definitely make it level with that. thank you. just means steps from the bedroom. but at least I can think straight and move on to the kitchen. ) thank you

As a general rule you do not want to step UP to an exterior space. Water flows downhill. Your exterior deck elevation should be a minimum of 1/2" below the interior finish floor elevation (as a best practice). 1" would be better. If you have two interior floor levels that intersect your exterior deck, then set your deck minimum 1/2" below the lowest finish floor elevation.
