Hi Ash, that sure looks weird. How is the maple now?

Hi Darren, the leaves have fallen off for the winter now. They did recover a little in summer. Hopefully it was just the heat and they have a better year next year

I have one as well although only half the size of yours. What's the cultivar. The leaves on my Fairview Flame are pretty leathery. Mine just went a bit limp, or burnt off, when it was too hot but didn't curl. I had a flush of new growth in late summer/Autumn which helped it not look so bad. Did you take out the stakes as well?

Clear the grass at the base at least half a metre from the trunk and mulch it. The grass is sucking the life out it.
