Large Living Room Window

Hi - we are decorating our Florida living room. The room is dominated by this large window in the photo. Are there any suggestions for a window treatment that would complement the decor? Many people here use plantation shutters. I do not like the large 3" slats, but would the smaller 1 1/2" slats be too busy? Are there other treatments that would work? Thanks!

I would do a golden colored woven blinds. They will allow some filtered light. You can get ones that go down or up. Then I would add drapery panels. Little more casual look and I think appropriate for FLA. I live in FLA and have plantation shutters!

An updated version of the Plantation Shutter is a 'Rolling Zebra Blind'. There sleek, functional and attractive. I'm sure you will love them. Go light color so they fade out.

Everyone by now knows I dislike plantation shutters they block light look heavy and suit very few rooms IMO I would do a simple solar shade to keep out the heat still allow a view and some simple drapes that are on an attractive rod in a color that works in the space my favorites are the ones with grommets so they are easy to open and close and make them very full so when closed they look good. This is a pic of how solar shades look
