URGENT HELP NEEDED

Trying to create a time sensitive ideabook. For captions, using Houzz style toolbar to bold part of captions. On my Iphone 4S (using Google Chrome browser) and Samsung All in One (Windows 10, using Google Chrome browser) the captions look fine with the appropriate words bold.

Some viewers, using an Ipad Mini for example, say they are seeing format codes such as <b> before and after formatted text. All this is on Houzz website (my text is invisible in my ideabooks, even to me, using the Houzz app, which I gather is a programming gap; that's a separate issue),

For the caption, first I tried a copy and paste from a Word rtf document and then formatted using the Houzz style toolbar. Then I tried typing directly instead of copy and paste. In both cases everything looked proper on both my Iphone and computer, but friends using Ipad Minis in both cases report seeing format codes.

Reminds me of using Wordperfect years ago when there was a "Reveal Codes" and "Hide Codes" option that allowed you to see/hide formatting codes.

Is there a way to prevent these format codes from showing up on devices?

I can't post screen shot, since it looks fine on my phone.

An unrelated (and much lower priority) question is what is the aspect ratio/dimensions needed for a cover photo? Needs to be 1000 pixels wide but unsure of how tall. Contacted support over a week ago but no response yet.. Thanks.

Hi Hal, I'm checking in on your first issue up there, but in the meantime - the ideal dimensions for a cover photo are 1200X250 for a non-pro profile. Hope that helps! I'll get back to you with more information on the other issue you are seeing as soon as I can.

Thanks. What about dimensions for a pro profile cover photo?

Regarding the main issue, since everything looks fine in both my IOS phone and Windows 10 computer using Google Chrome, I suspect there is a browser issue with the Houzz website.

Hal, can you please share the problematic ideabook with me, so I can inspect it on the iPad?

Are you using the mobile app on the iPad or are you browsing it in Safari?

    Thanks!

I am neither using an IPad nor Safari. Using Google Chrome on both my IPhone 4S and my Windows 10 computer to access the Houzz website, the ideabook looks fine. But some Houzz friends, using an IPad Mini to access the Houzz website, informed me they were seeing the format codes.

The problem is on my Pro profile I am setting up, Braswell Media and Marketing. The ideabook is Digital Art and Photography by Acerules, which I have temporarily made public.

Thank you for the extra details, Hal. I was able to browse your profile and the ideabooks in question, but could not reproduce the problem with iPad mini running the most recent the recent iOS versions and Houzz app version, as well as Chrome and Safari.

We will need to look further into the problem, now that we have more details.

If possible, it would be helpful to get a screen capture from the devices that show the error; that would be of great help, though I can appreciate how sensitive it is to require that from your clients. At Houzz, we would definitely try to find a way to reproduce the error and correct it, and will keep you posted.

I will see if I can get a screenshot from one of the viewers, so I can post or they can. I can't do screenshot myself since it shows up correctly on my IPhone and Windows 10 computer.

Using the Houzz app on my phone, I am unable to see any text in ideabooks on my personal or pro page (except for private shared ideabooks).
