Quick opinion on doorknob color

I decided updating our aging doorknobs (and hinges) throughout the house would be an easy way to give it a fresh look and keep coming up with matte black as the color I like. Just feeling a little nervous about that color choice and seeking feedback. We want to have the house in a condition to sell in a few years if need be and not sure if this is a popular look or just me liking it. We have a typical suburban colonial built in 1974. Old knobs:
