Short term, long term, AND permanent repair is to add a few bags of asphalt mix to form a short little ramp for you, but your drive is sloped to the left and you will get a tripping hazard if you don't pay attention at that end there (a potted plant as a barrier?). Adding stuff is easier than actual regrading, and asphalt (once thoroughly warmed up) is easier than concrete. By far.

You also might sink some anchoring items like short pieces of bent rebar into the old asphalt if you've coated it and thus reduced it's stickability. Otherwise pieces of the ramp might end up scooting away in time. Don't ignore the possible future expansion of the drive against the concrete slab; you want the repair to stick to the drive, not the slab, and a non-solid gap is absolutely necessary. The gap doesn't have to be filled with anything in particular as long as it's compressible/flexible stuff, from homasote to neoprene-type caulk.

OK - I got a quote from a contractor for doing the driveway. It's $2400. This is what the quote looks like but I'm waiting for other quotes

Resurfacing drive:

* clean off existing pavement

* prefill low areas

* remove broken sections as needed

* apply tack coat

* 2" blacktop compress 1.5"

* 2 yr warranty

Does the work sound about right?

I measured the drive way at about 702 sq ft.

When I called then up and asked what they'll do, it seemed like they'll mostly apply a new coat of 2" asphalt and use a TACK coat as adhesive. But 2" won't be enough to raise the level to the concrete.

"Asphalt mix" - isn't that what they put down for residential driveway?

I'm not familiar with the terminologies... is blacktop different than asphalt mix?
