Lotto Nov 2012 finished!

Three years isn't too bad, right? My daughter loved these blocks, so I made about 24 more (can't remember exact #) and made her a queen size quilt. She's 35 and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in August. I really wanted to get this finished so she could feel my love each night when she went to sleep. (She's hanging in there and we are waiting to find out if the heart damage is permanent or whether it might heal in the next six months.) Thank you, ladies, for such beautiful blocks!

I meant to add I spray basted this on a 4' x 8' foam board laid on my porch table. I had to move the quilt 4 times to get complete coverage, but it worked and was smooth. And I was able to quilt it on my regular machine, as that is all I have. I only did a square inside the large dark and small dark squares and then quilted the borders. Nothing fancy, but it worked.

Oh, that is so pretty, Bev. I loved those blocks too. You did a wonderful job with them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter - 35 is so young for a diagnosis like that. I sure she will feel your love all around her when she is wrapped in your beautiful quilt.

That is one of my favorite blocks, and it is a beautiful quilt. I know she will feel hugged. Praying the damage heals.

Bev, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's heart diagnosis. You put together a beautiful quilt that will cover her in much love and lots of prayers. My DH's doctor was dumbfounded at how his heart recovered from the damage done.........it can happen for your daughter, too. Will be praying......

That's my favorite design for Depression Blocks. I'm sorry to hear that diagnosis and hope it does get better. She'll love the beautiful quilt.

Hope all goes well for your daughter Bev.

And the Depression block can be made with any size HSTs. I have one made with 2 1/2" finished squares. It makes me smile whenever I look at it.

Beautiful quilt! Prayers of healing to your daughter, how can she not feel your love while snuggled under that quilt!

Thank you, everyone. She made the 3 hour drive today and we had a lovely day. I had put the quilt on my bed and she walked into the room and stopped, stunned. She just kept saying, "It's beautiful!" Just reaction I was hoping for. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
