My new countertop

I have just put in taz mahal quartize and have red oak cabinets. What backsplash to use..really like classy look with a sparkle.

Something simple to complement the countertop which is nice and works with the cabinets which have lots of detail

I think you cannot go wrong with subway tiles. I agree with cweyer8622 in keeping it simple. I think this color would look great in your kitchen and really bring out the grey in the countertop. Love the countertop by the way!

Lovely countertop. Beige or light taupe subway tile would be nice.

I would also suggest changing the hardware on the cabinets.

I think this creme color would look nice also. @izeve I agree really like the stainless hardware I think it will look great in your kitchen Donna Bily! Make sure you share a picture when you are finished I would love to see how it turned out!

I suggest the Subway Tile in a beige color. You can't go wrong with a subway tile. I think a 3'x6" subway will look great in your space.

Your cabinets are very traditional, I would use a traditional subway tile, not the modern style you pictured. Also agree with above comment to update the hardware and try to put the pulls in the correct positions, not the middle of the doors.
