Hi there, While many of the photos uploaded by design professionals to Houzz are of larger, high end homes, there are also lots of photos of more modest spaces. You may have some luck searching for smaller homes with searches like these:

I suggest using the Budget filter, available on the left-hand side when browsing Photos.

There are over 220,00 great quality photos to look in, which are not necessarily expensive.
