I wouldn't block the doors, either. I would do away with the sofa, and replace it with 2 smaller arm chairs. I would place them slightly facing each other at an angle, either facing the windows, 30'' or so in front of the door, or in the center of the room, facing the fireplace at an angle while flanking it from a distance. Their backs could be turned away from the fireplace, as in the picture below. I would get a smaller round table and place it in between the armchairs. The sofa appears too large for that space, and smaller armchairs would be better scaled. The fireplace and the sunburst make a great focal point, and I would like to "frame" it with two nice small scale armchairs. bringing symmetry to the whole composition. Otherwise, I would put those chairs facing the windows, but closer to the center of the room, not close to the french doors (as in the drawing below). I also think the rocker chair is also too large for the space, perhaps it would work better in the family room.
