After being left alone for over a year, this same plant needed to be repotted. We have fat roots!

When I brought it indoors, the thing was already pushing out of it's pot so it needed to be dug up again.

That plant on the left? That one is only 9 months old. Cool, eh?

Wow you did keep it compact! The branches look nice and sturdy. Nicely captured photos, Pagan. It truly shows that patient side of your personality when you produce good quality photos. I lack this skill/trait entirely.

i have to ask as a amateur photographer. What Camera do you use and for a even more amateur question. Is it a Digital camera or 35ml?

Well, now you're getting me to talk about the outstanding items in my wish list, Rick lol Were you planning to get a camera?

I inherited a 35mm Nikon FG when I was in college. I had to retire that because developing films became increasingly expensive and digital cameras became cheaper.

I have since been using my very old digital SLR (single-lens reflex--the kind that lets you see through the lens exactly what shot you are taking) with interchangeable lenses. It's an old Nikon D60, strictly an amateur camera. Over the years I have only splurged on lenses but I know I should upgrade the body to something less than 30 years old (this is item #3).

I'm actually now wondering whether I made a mistake spending on Item #2 in that list because Item #3 went on sale on Amazon just now.

Patience doesn't really figure into it, Tracy. Only steady hands or a stack of books to lean on because my tripod is crap lol

Now, this babe is being babied this winter--lights, heat, water and everything! I think it will be pruned before winter ends, though.

Agree with the above, love the documentation but also teaches me patience as I am a bit too keen at times to hack, snip and slash, so this shows me what possible nice results can be achieved for those with a bit of patience.

All my seed-grown plants get hacked, snipped and sliced on both ends, Phil. Especially the roots, which I can't help but check way more often than is probably advisable. They got a one-year respite because I was busy killing off mesemb seedlings lol

Pagan, we have 2 Digital cameras and I used to use them all the time, but since getting the iPad. It is just easier to snap a photo and load to site.. Takes nice photo's but not like the Digital. Cannot remember the make with out running into the room to check.

We have the 35ml w the different lens, but as you say, just more expensive now to develop and not as convenient.
