Beautiful Design!

Hi,
I am working with a very steep slope on a home I am just completing in the mountains of WNC. Do you recall how steep of a slope was involved in the this photo? Did you use the stones to create planting pockets of soil? Thanks for any guidance!

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to WNC it's a wonderful place to live.

I'm not sure of what the exact gradient was. The boulders were used to retain the soil and we planted in between to further stabilize the bank. There's also a mortared retaining wall further down that is not visible in this photo.
