It's not always so wonderful. You take animated air. We've got some lucky people with damaged roofs hereabouts thankful that the air is stagnant right now. Visibility is one half mile at the big airport.

Looking out, I'd have half expected that it would be smoke but it's freezing fog and temperatures in the teens this morning. A little warmer than recent morning and, no, our air isn't so bad right now. Maybe the smoke is being collected as hoarfrost and settling on every outdoor surface.

The damaged roofs are from 12 days ago and there is obviously more work than the roofers can get to. Snow is on the north slopes and in any somewhat shady location in the yard. That skiff of snow from nearly a week ago will be joined by more snow, Tuesday night. White stuff to help clean our air ...
