Dangerous mood?

I'm just now getting into iris. I bought 'dangerous mood' from walmart a few years back but my pictures don't look like the glamour shots I found on the internet. Does anyone have this one in their garden who can id it for me? Also. I bought 'Ominous Stranger, 'Ocelot, and 'Decadence' from Brecks this fall. Do they have a good rep. for sending the right id. iris? Thanks for the help.

the falls on my plant aren't black, just dark purple.

Shall keep an eye open for this one's id.

Big box stores notorious on mismarked iris and I think as bad with daylilies. A friend had excellent luck with daffodils from Brecks. Have you checked Garden Watchdog for them?

Thanks, I'll have to check Garden watchdog. Keeping my fingers crossed on the brecks iris, they're beauties.

Not Dangerous Mood.. I do have it so I should have a picture of it somewhere, but I have changed computers so I will have to see if its on this on.. and Brecks is also famous for sending out misnamed iris.. They send what they want knowing when and if the iris bloom, the customer has either forgotten what its suppose to look like or lost the list... Your best bet to get quality named iris is to order from those places that only specialize in irises.. or get with your local iris society. They usually have sales..Some times you pay more, but you will be happier with the final result

Definitely not Dangerous Mood.

As for Breck's, I personally have not had good luck with them. Two years ago I ordered a couple of iris collections. Only 2 of 10 irises were correctly labelled - and the two replacements they sent me for the first ones I discovered (I gave up complaining after that) were also incorrect. If it helps, Ocelot was one of the ones that was correct, and one of the mislabels is actually Ominous Stranger. I won't order from them again.
