I think butcher block counter would look good in your kitchen. I like your cabinets.

Looks like a lot of blue in the wall color pops the orange in the wood and the floor and the counter. Try warm neutral grays.

What are the wood floors that connect to the tiles? You would create a more spacious area if you could extend the wood throughout the kitchen.

Absolutely be very careful when choosing paint. The orangy tones in the wood will not work with many colors. Pale sage greens or dusty aquas would be great with cabinets but be sure to use test samples on different walls and check in sun and artificial light before committing.
