This floor is hickory, as stated above, but it is 2 1/4", 3 1/4", and 5" planks consecutively alternating. The material has the walnut plugs and a v-groove edge. The finish is a light stain, I can't remember the exact color, but it was probably a blend to make a custom shade. The finish is a catalyzed water-borne polyurethane in a satin finish. There is approximately 1000 sf on the first floor of this house. It runs between all of the rooms radiating from the kitchen, unifying the spaces with a common element.
