I keep my finished VC in 5gal buckets with a light cover not sealed to keep the mix moist and in my garage. If its allowed to dry out Im not sure of its benefits in the garden. One other thought if a few worms are allowed to be left in the finished vc they will survive and continue to make the moist castings even better, just my thoughts. Also any cocoons that pass thru have a chance by keeping it moist.
