What can you tell me about the backsplash?

What a cool kitchen! Can you tell me more about the backsplash? Is it copper? How does it hold up? Thanks!

Hello.. It does look like aged copper that developed a patina over time. We do not offer this copper model, however if you like copper mosaic tiles to be used as backsplash or other wall applications, we offer three different models of real copper metal tile that would develop a patina over time if left unprotected once installed. Hi ubergirl - thanks for the question. Sorry we've been so long in responding.

This backsplash is actually made of a cement board product (Viroc, if I remember correctly) that we cut to size and bolted to the wall with stainless steel sheet showing between panels. The owner of this kitchen is an artist and she colored the basic gray cement board with concrete dyes to give it the variegated green/blue appearance.
