Hi Chispa.. yes, I have seen this before in Firefox. I haven't figured out what's going on but I suspect in my case it's a resource issue. I tend to have a LOT of tabs open at once. If you close down firefox completely (all windows, all tabs) and reopen, that might fix your issue. (i usually shut it down from the processes tab on the task manager so that it will save a backup of the tabs I had open).

ETA - this is an intermittent issue for me. I might run into it once every two weeks or so.

someone else mentioned this just recently and so I've been watching for it, as I've had it happen intermittently, too. What I did figure out (as I had suspected) was that if my internet service (I don't have cable) was particularly slow right then, or if the thread had a lot of pics to load, that I can't get anything but the box for typing a reply, and the submit button and the line of other options is missing (the link, photo, editing). I did what funkyart suggests and shut down firefox, tried again, or opened another browser and used chrome or safari (I have a mac).

yes, occassionally. I've also have a problem with the Houzz menu bar scrolling down the page. It will end up covering what I'm typing. I have to click on another post to get it out of my way. Drives me nuts.

I am on Firefox, but not on Windows, if that makes a difference. I get a one line box, but as I type the box extends one line every time I hit enter, so the box is adequately sized. I am seeing the submit button and the other row of buttons just under the text box. No issues for me.

I only use the ipad anymore, and this drives me even nuttier than usual....I am not as patient with the electronics as I am with the animals, haha!

It has been horrible with the search box scrolling down the page covering everything I try to read and covering the reply box. It all started when they decided to cram the sale sign up there improperly. Thank goodness today it's staying in place. But every day it can be different. I have been begging for them to fix it and I am really hoping that the fix is permanent because it was getting impossible to use my tablet with this site. Today is a good day!

Thank you for your replies. Could not get Firefox to work with GW at all. I can read posts and start a thread, but if I try to reply to a thread, I get a one line box to type into, but no links below or a submit button. Strange, it had been working just fine for months, so not sure what happened. I just switched over to IE and GW works fine and I'm typing this response.

I had the exact same problem and fixed it by going to the Firefox website and "refreshing" my Firefox.
