After much deliberaton, and help from all of you at houzz(many thanks, I love this site!), I decieded to go with a very white carrera honed marble in my entire kitchen that has a choc brown island, white shadow cabinets, and a warm noche travertine floor. The question is backsplash and paint color? While the marble brings a lot of cool tones in, I want a warm look - any thoughts? I was orginally thinking traditional white subway, but now think it will be too stark - I like the glass tiles I am also thinking of putting a mini chandelier over my 3.5 x 6.5 +/- island....
