Does rug have strong smell?

We purchased a jute rug from a different vendor, that we no longer use because it had such a strong odor. Does this rug have a distinct smell?

    Hello, thank you for your question. Most natural fiber rugs have a smell when you first buy them. The smell should dissipate over the course of a few months. I hope this is helpful to you!
