It's always exciting to get new plants, and I hope those will do well for you. Organic humus and water sound good.

My only word of caution is that sometimes a camellia that is planted with lots of buds may lose some of those buds due to a perfectly normal reaction to the stress of being transplanted. I hope that won't be the case with your camellias, but if you don't get the bloomage you're hoping for this year, don't panic and assume you did anything wrong.

I'm in a warmer zone than you, but someone who lives closer to you may have some advice about whether any winterizing for a newly-planted camellia in Zone 7A is a good idea.

I think small examples come from retail outlets loaded with buds and then don't bloom again in final planting sites for some years because wholesale nursery fertilization regimes are not being maintained once the plants leave the commercial production facilities. So if you have the heavy bud set not continue into subsequent years (at first) this may be what is going on.
