I would get a carpet as large as possible to add some real warmth to the room and be pleasant underfoot. Choose a wool sisal-weave in a natural linen or camel colour and have it cut and bound or serged on all sides. The carpeting comes 12' wide so you can make a generously sized rug with it. Then if you want to layer a sheepskin at the side of the bed to meet your feet when you hop out of bed, that would look very nice too. Would you consider removing the plastic blinds? That would really elevate the room. You could get black out drapes. Even a bamboo shade from Lowes would make a huge difference
