So, our master bath shower is almost 6 feet deep from the door. Centered, the shower head would be 3 feet into the shower from the door. We have a little bit of a bump out onto the shower floor.

Our contractor would like to place the hot/cold handle to the immediate right toward her vanity by the door just below waist level so that we dont have to enter the shower to turn the water on and let it warm up.

My designer agreed, as did several others. But Im not convinced as I think it might look strange and I literally cannot find any example of this. Aside from the contractor having it done in his own home that way.

Has anyone done or seen this, considered it. Or is this a hair brained idea?
