If you still have that small small sample piece of wood, you could pick up some Old English scratch cover (or similar product) and see if rubbing it on the wood with a soft cotton cloth low lint -- cloth (try a hanky) (while wearing gloves) -- will create a look you like more.

There are at least three shades of this product: light (lemon ish) , medium (red ish) and dark. The dryer the wood the more quickly more product and its color is absorbed.

I also am not a fan of painted doors. The floors and doors in my fist house (1950 built house) and the upstairs floor and doors in my present do not match - but my home is older and it seems like there is less expectation for things to "match" in older homes. My trim is white, and perhaps that helps with blending the different color woods.

Your doors are not the same wood species as the flooring, so even if you use the same stain on both, they will never look the same. The doors are probably pine, which has a yellow hue, and does not take stain well, and your floors look to be oak. I'd paint the doors and trim an off white, such as BM White Dove or Navajo White.

Are the floors real wood, engineered pre-finished wood or laminate?

Don't think the doors are pine or you'd see knots.

Stain the doors a darker color. That will be fairly easy as long as there isn't any varnish or polyurethane over the stain that's already there. Test it on the inside of a closet door to see the result.

The doors are poplar. The floor is shaw vinyl planks. I believe all the doors on the second floor have their varnish over the stain, so any fix isn't easy. The first floor doors had to be reordered, so they come in on Monday - though all the trim is stained and varnished. I have some spare doors that the millwork company was replacing that have been stained that I can do tests on. I read something about doing a coat of poly with some blue added to cut the orange tone.
