Using corn meal as a fungicide was touted by some after one study by a couple of researchers at Texas A & M posted the results of that one study. However, neither they nor others have been able to replicate what those two researchers thought they saw.

Did the corn meal work for your problem?

Yes it did, the infected blades went brown, the fungus did not spread and in a week new green growth covered the infected area and look as if nothing happened.

I had put down another round of corn meal application about 2 weeks ago since I got a few extra pound left.

That's good news but playing devils advocate......are you 100% sure it was a fungus issue?

i actually put down 20Lbs/1ksqft. of cracked corn last week. I have some fungus issues that rear their ugly head in June.

One more question.... Is corn meal difficult to spread? I have a rotary spreader n I was told u need a drop spreader to apply
