Well, we paid for it today!! Lots of snow overnight!! Oh well.

I noticed blooms on an azalea on Monday. I am hoping we get snow, Nancy, but not until next week when I will be back in school! Ha.

Hi cottagers. It's been a while since I checked in (no special reason) and I got a sudden yen to get in touch. My forsythia was blooming a month ago (!) so I'm assuming i won't see any yellow on it in the spring. We got our snow Monday night just like you, Nancy. Have you heard that the same storm is warming the North Pole up to above freezing? 50°F higher than normal! (28 Celsius degrees)

No snow here but the mountains are covered in the white stuff, had a small earthquake about 60 miles south of us a couple of days ago but we didn't feel a thing. I have a huge Baron of Beef in the oven right now for our annual New Year's Beef Dip tomorrow, the frozen lemon mousse is in the freezer and I have the makings for a cucumber, sweet onion, shrimp and feta cheese salad in the fridge, just have to toss it together with some O.O., white wine vinegar and some fresh chopped oregano or maybe I'll use dill this year. We're carting it all over to DD's tomorrow, she's supplying the buns and any extras and gets to host the affair. This works out great, she and the rest of the family get to deal with the leftovers and we can just slip away into the night when we feel like it, the rest of them can carry on partying LOL.

Tonight DH and I are on our own, it's freshly cooked crab in the shell, a Caesar Salad and couple of rolls, a bottle of wine might appear on the table as well, I doubt very much we will still be up to greet the New Year in. Happy New Year everyone, wishing the best one ever for all of you.
