little hard to say as I would like to see the entire plant. Looks like new growth that will more than likely darken with age.

The garden I got the cutting from was growing in full sun and now is in pots on my balcony in full sun :)

Kzzle what did the parent plant look like? Was it light colored like the picture you posted?

Nice find - it's really beautiful. The more I learn about these plants, the more it seems trying to find correct, agreed on names for them is difficult because they are so variable. But then, it's a similar story with other plants too.

Sans - it came from a big cump of sans and they all looked the same. Have now potted it up along with a smaller one in full sun so we'll see how it goes :)

One of the bigger leaves is starting to curl in on itself at the moment.. any ideas what that's all about?

Depending on how old the full sized plants are, you might have a nice light colored Sans. Only time will tell.

The only time I've seen curling in on itself was when the Sansevieria in my collection was too dry. Having said that, I'll warn against jumping to conclusions. That mix you have there looks almost like Orchid mix. If you have a very fast draining mix, it may be drying out faster than you think. If your plants were in a denser soil then moved to this airier mix, the plant may need to develop more fine roots before it fully adjusts. But I am just guessing at this. You'll just have to keep a close eye on it and check the soil moisture often till you get an Idea of how fast it dries out. Never keep it moist all the time in winter. Cold and wet kills.

I'm in Australia so its summer here at the moment. It probably does need a bit more watering as i'm not watering too often, its just in a regular old potting mix so I don't think its too airy.. I will just wait and see what happens with this one, keep an eye on new growth hopefully it stays the same light colour!

Sansevieira thrive when it is hot, they can take being moist when it is full summer. They still should not be wet for any long period though. Good luck with it and please keep us posted.

I have been looking for a Variegated Moonshine for some time. I did purchased several at a great cheap price at a nursery in Indonesia and was at a loss when it didn't make it thru our customs. I was at a loss of $130. Live and learn. Last time I ever buy from overseas mailorders. I did do well buying seeds from China.

As for keeping Moonshine. Overwater is worse as well as sudenly over exposure of direct sun. Can treat like other Sansevieria.

Id'ing some sans are near impossible even for the expert. If it's common S. trifasciata varieties I think I can help.

I've about thrown up my hands on "ID" - including juvenile & adult forms (and I'm really new in the Sans game) half the time there is no tag - I'm just going to number them and hope I don't duplicate too many plants ;^)

That's unfortunate about losing money on plants not passing customs.
