My Ikea kitchen layout...

We have gone over this plan a couple of times with the rep from Ikea and it runs about $5700. This only includes the fan hood (They have a kitchen event on now so you get 15% back in gift cards with one appliance purchase). It does not include countertops, sinks, faucets, knobs etc.

Side wall is where the range will go. It also has a glass door cabinet at the end for our nice cookbooks.

Front wall is for the refridgerator, under cabinet microwave, and a smaller single sink. We plan on putting the coffee maker above the microwave. The lower cabinet there will have glasses, coffee cups etc.

The island is the main sink and dishwasher. It will also have an over hang for our four bar stools. Currently, the plan is for the garbage to be under the sink, however we might put it in a pull out beside the sink.

We're going to do the install ourselves in our new build. The builder is fine with this. We have an allowance of almost $13k for the kitchen. You can't get much of a professionally designed and installed kitchen for that.

The colour will be grimslov off white. 10 foot ceilings. Should be lots of room with the corner walk in pantry.

Anyone have any thoughts? The drink area (fridge, coffee, sink) will keep the traffic down with our two kids and guests.

I wasn't sure how the pictures would post. I had to copy them and cut them in paint (haha). Crossing my fingers :)
