Ceiling Fans in the Bedroom?

I would love romantic lighting in the bedroom, however, the ceiling fans keep the room cool. Keep or Ditch?

plain ceiling fan with no light kit, how about look at chandeliers you like and have the matching sconces instead?

on a hot sweaty summer night i'd rather have a fan than romantic lighting.

I voted keep but I wanted to qualify that with I prefer ceiling fans that blend in with the ceiling-- not ornate ones.

Gosh, I just don't get what so many Houzzer's don't like about fans? I personally like them. Plus, so many need the *function* of the fan. I guess you can say that I am a fan of the fan')

when i had an old house with high ceilings, ceiling fans no longer worked, went over to box, never went back.

Jennifer, keep the fan. There are other "romantic" elements one can add to a bedroom.

Even with air conditioning, the fan feels great. I've read that some new ones are installed with that ugly motor part in the ceiling. I'd love to see that.

I love a ceiling fan in the bedroom. It keeps you cool and gives me something to stare at besides the ceiling. I'd keep it.
