Try a nice floor lamp or plant

The problem isnt really the blank space, its that you have 2 focal points side by side. Have you considered putting tv above fireplace and then angling furniture/sectional in front of that? i believe that is the intended arrangement for angled fireplaces like that. but the side by side arrangement is aesthetically not good.

I think if the tv and console were centered, it might help but if your Christmas tree has to go there, not sure if you want/can move them. You could add a floor lamp and even a small sized chair in front. Then I would try pulling your couch away from the window and out a bit more in other direction, so it feels more centered in the room and is less squeezed in at the fireplace corner (as console is that way as well).

It doesn't look like a TV can be hung on fireplace. Either way I think it is fine to have TV separate. I think what is needed is a more substantial entertainment unit, perhaps a built in for tv and bookshelves that are nicely styled. You could then put a single well scaled photo or mirror above the fireplace mantle.

Given the clean lines of your room, maybe this lamp from Wayfair. Much less expensive than a built in unit! :-)
