I'm a sucker for the rimmed apricot/peach ones. And I don't have one!

These pics are 10 years old. Hopefully there are new users of the forums who've not seen them. I shot for accurate color, not beauty, as in those days there were horrendous, inaccurately-colored, iris pictures online. One my monitor the color looks close to spot on.

Abiqua Falls - TB, Schreiner'03, AM'07, gorgeous periwinkle! Schreiner's does the "blues" the best.

A dear friend hybridized some nice beardeds. She created a gorgeous garden retreat from nothing in mountain "soil". I learned much from her. 3 pics of this one shot in a row. Trying to capture the wonderful colors and not succeeding very well.

Wow! Where to start? Those are really lovely - and I can't believe you don't have an apricot, Irisgal! Which one would you pick?

I planted After the Dawn this past fall. I'm sorry to hear it has poor substance for you! Awake the Dawn is wonderful - how much shade is the right amount to balance colorfastness with good growth?

Apollodorous is also really nice. Last spring I had too much purple among irises - that one looks like just the solution! :)

I'm so glad you told us on the rose gallery, about the Irises, they are all beautiful, but I wish another name or letters could be used that TB. having worked in health facilities, it gives me the shivers.

WolfDoc, for awhile it was Halo in Orange, Halo in Peach, Peach Bisque, Amber Amulet, Lonesome Dove ...................... I couldn't decide so didn't order any 'peach/apricot rimmers'. I had only seen them in pictures. Burned once ........... twice.......... umm, think I'll wait. I need to check if any on my list won at least an HM as it looks like I'll have to grow to see any. I don't think any won an AM or I would have ordered. (yeah, I do have favorites that never won anything and I'll pass on some of the Dykes Medal winners.)

After the Dawn may be fine for you. Here we are usually in the high 70's to low 80's when tall beardeds open. If I had a place that had 6 hrs. sun that would be part shade in my book. I have tried in bright shade. Failure to bloom.
