Winter blues

Hey guys, hope everyone is well. We have had a mild winter thus far in my neck of the woods, with the exception of the last week or so, but the next two months are expected to be pretty nasty according to my favorite weather forecaster. The more snow the better in my opinion though, I love it. Anyways, I am itching to get some more JM's after getting my first (palmatifolium) this past fall.

If I were to purchase one and have it shipped to me within ththe next weeks, what would be the best thing for me to do with it? Leave it in the small pot it would likely come in? Or repot it or stick it in the ground? I assume not the latter but let me know. Thanks.

Kyle
