The paint is Duron Martha Stewart Bird's Nest #8073.

I found the rug at Roswell Rug Company in Roswell, GA. The drapes are custom made and the fabric is from Dogwood Fabrics.

I am wondering about the drapery rod. To me it seems too heavy and less formal than the overall feeling in the room. However, I'm not a trained designer. With your educated and skillful eye, can you help me understand why a heavy black rod like this works in an otherwise light and formal space? I would have probably gone with a rod that was in keeping with the frame, chest hardware and chandelier. I have a very similar thing going on in my space and can't seem to figure this out. Help :)
