I think darker floors are more timeless however gray is quite cool and if that's the look you know you like I would say gray!

Kitchen

Consider a smokey look. It is one application of 50% Zar Mocha and 50% Zar Coastal Boards. "pop" the grain (after sanding, apply water to open the pours and let dry) in the white oak flooring, apply Zar with a rag, let it sit, wipe off excess, apply clear finish coat. Try this on sample boards first. You may want to add more Coastal.

Dining room

Looking at your dining room and kitchen, the color should be spot on. I do not have a photo. It comes in small half pint cans. Try it out.
