What Color to Paint Our House Exterior?

We're painting our house this spring, and I have NO CLUE what color to paint! Right now it's pretty vanilla, and I'd like to jazz it up a bit:

This is what our house looked like when we bought it. Since then we've removed the dying plant in front of the garage, taken out the bush under the window and planted more flowers. Overall it's a cute house! We've spunked up inside with lots of fun colors (yellow, turquoise, tan, blue, etc.) on the walls, and remodeled our kitchen two-tone. So, we're not afraid of color. Our neighborhood wants us to keep with the general "feel" of the community, so nothing too out there, but they don't have any strict rules on paint colors.

What do you think? We live in the Pacific Northwest. And, don't forget we have some brick, which we were thinking we'd like to keep un-painted (unless you can convince us otherwise!) Thanks!

Light gray is classic for pnw, but within that you could go silver-gray, blue-gray, taupeish-gray, sage-gray. Most grays work with red brick. Don't bother painting brick. If you go to the Benjamin Moore website and search "gray" you'll get a huge range. Upload your photo on the paint your own room in the visualizer to try favorites. Then you can keep your blue door or paint it a fun new color.

I think in general you would want to accent the interesting window on left; downplay garage doors. Pick three complimentary colors, one of them being an accent only - I think there is a "rule of thumb" about this and a good paint store would be able to help you. It is a substantial investment.

HI -- Amsterdam Blue or Manchester Tan or Willow or Polo Blue by Benjamin Moore . Look at their 2016 colors . Or a slate blue is very popular . Check out the paint colors at Restorationhardware.com , they are muted and beautiful . Or look at any paint company's historic colors . And keep the brick , it's nice . Very cute house !
