Great Picture creative Tile, your floor turned out beautifully. Are you saying that your should incorporate loose stones where the seams match up, so you dont see the lines?

I usually pull all the stones off and install individually. It allows me to select stones with flatter edges for along the walls to avoid large grout areas. An increased pitch will help with drainage. Also select sealer prior to grouting. Photo shows installed tile with an impregnater / penetrating sealer while the sample laying on top has an enhancer. This should be the clients choice not the installers. The shower design can be greatly affected by the applied sealer.

Thank you all for input and pictures. I am not sure I'm posting correctly and for some reason I can't get pictures to load so didn't post with my original inquiry. More info though - I fell in love with a natural cut and polished stone set on mesh to use as a band in our fairly neutral bathroom. They are the "made in China" assembled mesh stones that I have read on a couple blogs to stay away from. It appears there may be question about the mesh quality and/or adhesive used to attach the stones to the mesh. Needless to say, we are removing the stones completely and will be hand setting. I simply don't trust the mesh. My husband and I spent several hours peeling off the rocks and rubbing off the glue - I found a rough terry clothe bath towel worked great - better than a utility or pocket knife for removing the glue. Anyway, was wondering what other people were doing with the rocks. I hunted high and low for something similar from tile companies that I trust and couldn't find anything I liked as well. Here are pics of the rocks on mesh - we are using the cut rocks, also my plywood template where I have set up the rocks and the alcove where we will be placing them - no grout in yet. Will be using Laticrete epoxy grout.

BTW - I tried again to upload pictures I have on my computer but wouldn't happen :-).
