You could put a board behind the house numbers to make them pop. Paint it the same color as your shutters/door. You could get a more dramatic light, or put it further from your door. You could put some of the gold highlights on your porch posts. You could get a bigger more dramatic door mat. Paint your mail slot gold or get a brass one.

You want to watch adding too much. You want drama, not too busy.

On the inside, a dramatic runner from your door will do the trick.

Just painting it one solid color would do a world of good. If you want dimension, us a dark glaze, but definitely lose the pale, yellow outlining.

I agree that the exterior door looks way too busy. And also too narrow.... painting everything one color, including all the trim (transom too) would help solve both these issues. This is a really cool door and I can see why you want to celebrate the detailing, but I think light and shadow are your friends here, and the door will still be very dramatic in one color. Go ahead and pick a bold one! Gold anyone? I agree that something behind your house numbers would really make them pop and bring things together, plus an awesome door like this deserves some awesome new hardware...
