Why does she have to change the accessories, she said the cabinet and I am saying that because I have a curio cabinet with items from my military days and want to update it as well

She doesn't have to change accessories, it was a suggestion but she said she likes modern and clean and the inside doesn't seem clean and modern. Modern and clean means less stuff./pared down a bit.

You might want to consider painting the back inside panel a different color. The clear glass items aren't being displayed well behind the clear glass doors. Glass behind glass with oak back is making the glass disappear from view.

If the shelves are adjustable, bring the middle shelf so it's in line with the cross bars on the doors.

I agree, there are too many items inside. Overcrowding it makes each item feel less special.

I would find a new home for the wine glasses and the vases on bottom right. Then space other items.

You could definitely paint this white and add new hardware. Also you could paint the inside back of the cabinet to add some contrast
