I suppose I will be the first to chime in on a somewhat negative note. The room has lost it's charm and looks so cliché, trendy, big box department store. Of course, it makes sense that this would be featured because it's a great way to sell merchandise and basically parades new product. No integrity with regards to restoration.

I think the aesthetic is subjective; it may not appeal to someone with more traditional taste, but I personally love a clean modern scheme and you've really warmed it up with the use of brown tones in the backsplash and flooring. Most importantly, this is a very functional layout which will be enjoyable for cooking: lots of counter space with sink, cooktop, ovens and refrigerator located for optimum efficiency within a galley space. Some might have been tempted to fill in the windows to create more upper cabinet space, but I think you have lots of storage in your base cabinetry and the full height pantry cupboard. The light and space created by the windows adds some nice character to the space and I'm glad you kept them.
