We're having new windows installed throughout the house with new casings and trim which will need to be painted. I figured this would be a good time to do some touch up painting in the rest of the house - predominantly the entry/hallways/kitchen where the lower half of the walls and baseboard are scuffed up. The walls are continuous and have chair rail with picture frame molding below in the entry, upper and lower hallways and kitchen, but not the stairway. The kitchen has wallpaper below the chair rail and I want to remove it and paint the lower part of the wall. I'm trying to decide how to paint it and if I should change the hallway. My options are:

1) leave the hallway/entrance as is with the upper and lower walls painted yellow and the chair rail, picture frame molding, and baseboards painted white, and paint the lower part of the kitchen wall yellow as well

2) paint all the lower half of all the walls that have chair rail completely white (so upper half stays yellow, lower half from chair rail down to baseboard white)

3) paint everything including all the trim (excluding the baseboards) yellow.

Suggestions?
