Growing from Seed

Need help with planting vinca periwinkle!

I have bought seeds of "vinca periwinkle" and grown them for a while. But now that the plants are grown so tall with very thick stem, I start to doubt if I have the correct species, or are they even grown correctly. The leaves are obviously wrinkled. Please help!

Definitely not Vinca major or Vinca minor because these plants are low growing (ground cover). I do not recognize the plants in your pictures.

Where did you buy that seed?

The name 'Vinca' is both a species and also a common name for Catharanthus roseus. Did you sow Vinca or Catharanthus rosea? It is very unusual to grow VInca from seed. Anyway, the plant you have is neither. It looks more like some kind of green veg such as Spinach.

Or the actual seeds have not germinated and a stray seed was already in the mix.
