Great transformation! That white was so jarring to the eyes. It actually hurt to look at it. Now it is warm and inviting.

I just noticed who posted this....Lumber Liquidators did you REALLY do this COMPLETE kitchen reno??? If so, did the customer lay out this configuration or someone in your employ?

its not a good set-up with the fridge on other side of kitchen against the wall by the looks of it and why would I want to walk way over to the fridge and back to cook, wow

Beautiful! But i have dogs that drip water all over my wood look vinyl floor so. Laminate or hardwood does not work for me in my kitchen. Elder dog as incontinent issues esp. When he does not make it to the kitchen door in time. I am grateful that I put wood look vinyl in my kitchen remodel. Nice job on this remodel. Work triangle was not evident though.

Hi stlouisgaltoo, I know what you mean. Moisture isn't good for hardwood, but luckily this is an engineered hardwood meaning it has superior strength and stability in any room, including kitchens, bathrooms and basements!

And how does water affect it??? Does it seep into the seams??? It is beautiful btw. My dogs will drip drinking water, puke and pee on it. They are dogz! Sorry for the graphics but it IS the reality with pets. Had a dog fight once....blood all over my old white sheet vinyl. Not pretty. The "outcome" was not pretty either but that is another story for another day.

Oh no! :( With engineered products, hardwood veneer layers are stacked on one another, with the grain of the adjacent layers oriented perpendicular to each other. Because wood expands and contracts in the direction of the grain, one layer stabilizes the next, resulting in a product that is less susceptible to the effects of moisture & temperature change, but despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability. Hope this helps!

Wow - what a difference! What the heck was the white thing protruding from the ceiling in the before pics? Whatever it was, I'm glad it's gone. @Lumber: Are those your cabinets also (Cabinets to Go is a division of Lumber Liq. ) just curious?

LL...thanks for the heads up. I didn't think you provided that kind of service or product, but thought I ask...since some retailers are expanding service areas to keep afloat, it didn't seem out of the realm of possibilities. ;) BTW, I always recommend sourcing flooring from LL to my clients.

stlouisgaltoo - What brand/kind of vinyl wood flooring did you use in your kitchen remodel? How long ago was it installed and how is it working out for you? How it is holding up?? I am considering this for my kitchen/dining/entryway area but there are SO many choices out there!! Thanks!

Julie, we had Armstrong sheet vinyl professionally installed including the subfloor. July 2012. I LOVE it! My frineds always ask me how I like my "wood" floor in the kitchen. This is from pictures. Another friend took my example and had it installed in her living/kitchen area and loves her. Pic below. 1920 farmhouse. Full kitchen remodel.
