Embroidery machine

I asked this in the embroidery forum, but thought I would ask here also. I have wanted an embroidery machine for a long time. I am by no means new to sewing. Would like opinions on the pros and cons of your machine. I was thinking either a Singer or Brother because I don't want to spend over $1500, less if I can manage that.

Don't have one so can't recommend one, but between the those two brands, I would get a Brother over a Singer, if you're wanting a new one.

Funny, I just got an email from Amazon for a Brother that looks pretty nice at $1,200, and it's got pretty good reviews:

Thanks for the link. I actually may get that one. The embroidery only version is only about $600. I already have 3 sewing machines, none that embroider. And you are right; the reviews are excellent.
