Can I mix frosting and pudding?

I made some lemon cupcakes for a gathering tonite. Just plain cupcakes from a mix. Can I successfully combine pre-made frosting (vanilla) with pre-made instant lemon jello to frost them with? And if so, should the mix of frosting and jello be 50/50?
