Hi - oh my gosh, I don't think so. Google "basenji". I believe that you'll find that they are very high energy and need lots of exercise and activity. Perhaps someone else will come on and tell you differently. I've not had a Basenji myself, but have known some and I can't imagine them in an apartment.

I second what Susie says...great dog but the one's I've seen have been pretty active too.
