It's the best of a bad lot of Chinese imports. You can do better.

I used them through my contractor and love them. It's my understanding they're manufactured in Indiana area, but I could be wrong. They work perfectly, clean easily and we get many compliments from friends and family.

They are flat pack Chinese imports that various wholesalers will assemble in various locations. Not fond of their finishes at all.

I have them in both my kitchen, master bathroom and basement family room. I love them! We've had them for 5 years and they still look new.

They aren't flatpack by any stretch.

Hello- I am in the process of having a kitchen designed by Cliqstudios-but their "utility" cabinet is a two piece, and the lower section is short and does not accommodate a long broom/mop, etc. Their designer has made suggestions. Anyone else have a similar problem and/or solution?

Yes, they are flat pack import cabinets that are assembled in the US by some regional distributors. Not most people's idea of ''Made in America''.

Hi! carolgr64, my kitchen designer/installer is here now doing exactly what you are trying to accomplish. our situation may be a little different than yours, but we pulled out an old pantry closet to install new, and because of it's position in the area I wanted to use the lower 2/3rds to store my vacuum, swiffer and broom, etc. --you get the idea. the upper portion we wanted with shelves. So my on-site designer/installer had his counterpart at Cliq, AJ send him the face front with the changed sizes for the top and bottom doors. He put shelving in the top and we are using the bottom portion for the vacuum, etc. it looks like a regular pantry from the outside. an send you a photo if you like! --teri

carolgr64 -- just an fyi: I love my Cliq cabinets. I've got painted cabinets in Linen color. they're beautiful and work perfectly--slide out shelves, etc. I especially love my spice cabinet. finally I have everything together. I've had no trouble with them at all. I can't guarantee that you will be as pleased, but they work for me..

How long have you had your painted cabinets from cliq? I have had the wood tone ones and LOVED them (but we moved and now I have 20 year old crappy builders grade Merillat's). We had the painted ones in the basement family area where they got a decent amount of use, but nothing like the kitchen!

Emily-- I've had them for about 7 months now. I really like them. Glide drawers and inner shelves glide, too. They clean easily, I think. They look more expensive than they were. The linen color we chose is good, because it's not as stark as the white, but it's not dull, either. I just really like the way they look. Our installer who designed the kitchen recommended them and he did a meticulous job installing them.

Pantry question- I am thinking of two options-
1. two side by side 18" pantries with rolling drawers ( actual drawer boxes are about 14"), these would each only have one door.

2. The other option is a wider 36" pantry- but it would have 2 doors. This means I would need to open 2 doors each time I needed to pull out the box drawers. What would you do?

Carol - I am in Central IL and no longer live in the house with the Cliq cabinets (moved to a larger home, so not a bad thing).

I would personally go with option #1 - even though you lose a little space on the drawers, it would be more annoying to me to have to open 2 doors EVERY time I needed something from the pantry. The roll out drawers are worth the lost space IMO, because you can see the WHOLE shelf. In the old house we had an 18" pantry with rollout shelves (btw the bottom roll out is smaller than the other roll outs because of the hinge), in the new house we have 24" pantries with fixed shelves and honestly I find myself pulling stuff from the front of the shelf and putting it on another shelf to find stuff at the back of the shelves - REALLY annoying.

Carol & Emily, I am so spoiled by my pull-out shelves, I can't imagine not having them. It's so easy to store things and then be able to get to them easily. My pantry is a 24" with two doors. It's not a problem for me T all, but yes, I do have to open both doors if I'm going to pull out the shelve. In your case, IMO you should also consider where your pantry is in relation to other cabinets/appliances in your kitchen. If the wider profile door is no problem, then the larger door might be better. I like the narrower profile of the two doors in my kitchen. Also, keep in mind that you want enough space that you can open the doors fully without conflicting with whatever is next to the door. With two doors, I have to make sure they're both fully open or the shelve hits the interior frame of the door as I pull it out--I should have had a wider spacer to the right of the cabinet because there is a corner wall that slows the swing of the door, if you follow my drift. Cool that now the cabinet doors now have the self closing mechanism. My kitchen only has the self closing drawers, but the two linen closets I just had installed have the self-closing doors. I like that. I live in Sacramento. If your up for a long drive, you're welcome to come see my kitchen. My glass front cabinets I had done here with 1/4" beveled glass. They turned out quite nice.

1. Has anyone ordered the pull-out spice cabinet? Is the 6" one wide enough to hold all your spices?

2. Any idea what the usable drawer width would be with the 15" wide tall roll out tray cabinet? Hoping at least standard cereal boxes would fit. Our kitchen is tiny.

3. And has anyone had the wood toned ones, and in which wood? The wood tone selection is so limited! Can't talk my husband into white.

4. Did you all hire contractors to install, or did you DIY?

I'm having a contractor install. Just completed my final design, and will be ordering them soon.

I have the pull-out spice drawer. I love it sooooo much because everything is in one spot. It's wide enough to get two of the large Costco size spice containers back to back on one shelf. The shelves are adjustable and remove able. For example, I have module large containers and jars for my spices, so I removed one shelf completely for height reasons. I'm really glad I got it. We had an installer do the work. We wanted to make sure we didn't damage them and that they were perfectly installed. Took two days or so, including the island.

Wow that is very cool!! I'm guessing you have the 12" pull-out spice cabinet. Cliq has a 6", 9", and 12" option in spice pull outs.

The outside measurement of the cabinet is 12".

I had been working with a Cliqstudio designer on the kitchen
plan for our new house. My experience with her was great. She was responsive
and helpful. We ordered our cabinets one week ago and then today we discovered
a discrepancy in the wall length measurement. I contacted Cliqstudio customer
service to request that we change one base cabinet from 24” to 15” on the
order. They refused to make any changes, stating that the order was already in
production. I was informed that my only option was to keep the original cabinet and buy the smaller cabinet
with a $250 shipping charge. They would not even hold the original order to
ship with the one new cabinet to avoid the shipping charge. They are working in the home building
industry. Things happen! It isn’t like I am making major changes to the plan. I have not received the cabinets to examine the quality. I was hoping to provide a glowing report, but after
the design stage, this is the MOST INFLEXIBLE COMPANY that I have ever
experienced. I will NOT recommend them to anyone.

Measure thrice, order once. No cabinet company would do any differently if the order had actually reached the assembly line. . "In production" with them though, means the assemblers putting together the cheepchinesecrap parts and pieces in basically a warehouse.

All of the pantries, pullouts, etc. that are pictured in this discussion are available from any decent cabinet company. Cliq doesn't have a monopoly on them. Why not go with a local cabinet representative who will stand by their measurements and quality? There are SO many quality cabinet companies all across America, that I'm baffled as to why anyone would take a chance on a cheap import. Do it once and do it right, even if it costs a little bit more upfront, rather than sign up for the aggravation that comes with long-distance manufacturers.

Hi Jackie, I think there's been some sort of miscommunication. Your order IS in production, but changing that one cabinet to a 15" width is no problem whatsoever. I've already asked a customer service representative to go ahead and make that change today. The 15" cabinet will ship with the rest of your order. There's no extra charge for this change. In fact, I'll check in the morning to see if there may actually be a slight refund for the difference. Please reach out to me personally if you have any other concerns.
