Updating my Dining Room.

Going for a transitional feel - with some remaining traditional elements.

Here are some photos of the space and some of my thoughts and questions:

Current rug:

Table and chairs are staying.

End chairs are optional - open to suggestions

New chair cushions a must -- solid? Print? - and if so, what works with a patterned rug?

New chandelier a must -- I wouldn't mind going bigger.

Wall paint stays the same

Window treatments stay

Would like to keep this piece - but paint it. Open to color suggestion. I like the wood top, though - so I may want to preserve that.

Also need to re-accesorize the top. Tall lamp?

Replace this silly table with something tall -- an etagere maybe? Don't have a whole lot of clearance for a deep piece, though. 15" deep tops. Wood piece? Metal piece?

So there you have it.

If I don't like the rug - I will find another with similar colors…. but I have a feeling I'm going to like it.
