You could go with a bronze pendant ( likely 2-3) - also an easy fix is choose a color in pottery or glass ( red, blue, yellow etc) and add some pieces to your lovely glass front and open shelves. That way you are adding color without changing anything. If you are brave, they also sell pendants in colors: red, green, blue etc:

I did oil rubber bronze and love it. Copper is big now and I did copper canisters which warm things up and work with the knobs and pulls. I've got wood cabinets so its a bit of a different situation but it all worked anyway. I was worried about putting together wood and rubbed bronze which are warm with gray granite and stainless which are cool. But I think oil rubbed bronze can be used on anything.

If you painted the island a dark espresso or brown to match the counter in the picture to the left, I think it would add some warmth and contrast. I also liked the idea to add some pretty pendants.

I'd bring in the color with accessories -- a bright rug in front of the sink, echoing colored bowl(s) on the new hutch, and colorful art on the walls. Maybe stools with colorful seats at your breakfast bar. A colorful valence across the top of the window. There are plenty of ways to bring some warmth other than changing pulls (I like the current ones, although some could be larger), and you also need to give yourself some time to get used to the radical change..

You could always add some colorful pendants later if you still want a bit more accent.

Great job on this beautiful remodel! We completed a remodel a couple of years ago that looks very similar to your new kitchen. I wouldn't definitely add some pendants above the cook top and would either add a valance or some roman shades to the window to bring some different textiles to make the space feel warmer.

I would consider fabric roman blinds outside mount between the crown and the top of the window frame so that you still have all the light coming in the window, but it will add colour. I agree with some other comments, you have a lot of white dishes showing, which I love for the flexibility of them but if you have some coloured dishes, it would add some color. Can you spray paint the frame of your wall clock?

Add lights to the glass cabinets and add some colored accessories to add depth and brighten it up. Add some bronze and gold/brass accents/accessories to add warmth.

Bamboo or upholstered wood counter stools would be nice to bring more natural element in.

A valance or other window treatment is crucial - this will make a
HUGE difference.
Also, great idea on the lighting pendants - there are
small ones with shades that could work.

I would leave the very lovely thing you just did alone. Yes! Give your eyes time to adjust!! Refrain from loading in doo dads or lights or anything. Your eye simply hasn't adjusted to the change from wood stain to white. It looks super : ) If you still feel same in a couple months , come back.

I agree with most everyone as far as adding color with accessories. There are so many beautiful colored small appliance now days. I think your windows need some colorful window treatments and maybe a plant or two and that should be enough. I like your before kitchen as much as the after.

I think you did a great job and don't think it looks cold at all! Agree that some accessories and window treatments would add the color you are seeking. If you add pendants I would put them over the peninsula.

I would bring in green accessories, such as flowers or green apples around the kitchen tops, and would add chrome pendants and stools such as these:

IF you are bound and determined to add, I'd stick to a natural woven woods roman shade,,,,,,there are millions of textures. A "valance" seems dated. If you want "pendants"...stick to ONE light fixture over the island, and I would make that a lantern. You've a very lovely traditional white kitchen Less is almost always MORE. A thousand things added : ) will read as clutter, not warmth. If I could reach through the screen, I'd already be clearing some "stuff" off those counter tops!! If a light over island? Perhaps something like this, not too expensive, and three finishes. Two could be nice at peninsula. Up the road.... white baffles and rings on the recessed is far less noticeable "swiss cheese" in the ceiling.

But here is a white kitchen and just added the bold colorful coordinating curtains and a roman shade in coordinating fabric over the window. True you do not have dark stained lower cabinets, but you do have a beautiful white kitchen! I love what you have done.

In addition to the curtains at the windows I think you could add cushions or upholstered bar stools and in the same bold color too, to finish up the room.

The kitche is perfect and you do not need to add electrical or redo anything. I think you are still used to the dark wood and all its attendant details. Room looks wonderful....I should have such a bad kitchen. haha

I also think your kitchen is really pretty. I admit I am not a gray paint person. If it is still bothering you in 6 months, consider a gray with a little color - a bit green or blue.
